btaining Catwalk Criminal in UK
I've had a few queries on you can get Catwalk Criminal and any back catalogues of Kane here in the UK. I have found Free Record Shop to be the best and cheapest for shipping to UK and the most reliable so head over there and get your order in.
Catwalk Criminal almost there!
Today was crunch day to see where 'Catwalk Criminal' hit the charts and it has done a sterling job of getting to #02. Excellent job for a return single with a new sound. Well done guys.
Thank you!
I want to thank everyone that has signed my guestbook and emailed me about the new site. Due to lots of various problems over the last year it was a struggle but now Kane are back and I'm back and I hope to see you all sometime this year!

Welcome to the 'new' Kane Rocks!
I thought it was time that I revamped the site and now that there are things happening for Kane now seemed to be a good time as any! It is hard to update a site where there is no news especially when the band are not in the same country but now Kane are back, they are signed to a new label, they have adopted a new raunchy sound and they are ready to hit the road.
I will do my best to keep you up to date as much as possible on this new shinny site, which I hope you like. There are still loads more things to be added and updated but I just couldn't wait no longer to go live to show you.
Now that Kane are signed to a new record label (Universal) I'm hoping as much as you are that this means they will bring and promote Kane and the new album to UK but until that time we will just have to continue to support them the best we can from this side of the pond!
Please let me know what you think of the site and if you have any problems with any of it. I hope you like it, now it's time to walk that catwalk.
Catwalk Criminal
Kane released a new single this week which you can purchase and download from here you just need to type in 'Catwalk Criminal' next to where it says 'Zoek Music'. You can also buy the hard copy from here . Any problems ordering your copies then just drop me an email and I'll do my best to help.

3 Years online!
What can I say? Well the 3 years have flown by but it has been an amazing ride. I was hoping to have something special for you to help celebrate my 3 years online with my Kane website but unfortunately I've not come up with anything outstanding this year except to offer you to take a trip back to just over 3 years ago down memory lane to the very first time that Kane performed here in UK. I first saw Kane support Maroon 5 at the Mean Fiddler. This was followed on by seeing them another 2 times in this support role. You can read the review that I did for these 3 concerts and how I fell for this amazing Dutch band here . After seeing them at the Astoria I had the urge to do something to try and promote them to other people in UK, not knowing what at the time but along my train journey home the following day I came up with the idea of this website. It became a huge challenge as I had no knowledge of developing at all but with the help of a work colleague some how getting the website online in just 4 days was achieved and I've not look back since! The 3 support roles, the album 'What If' and the adrenalin of the website being recognised by so many people including Kane themselves prompted me in to really needing to see more of this band live and so with the help of Conny who I'll never forget I had a ticket to a showcase in Amsterdam that Kane was doing for other European record label representatives. UK being one of them countries. The show was amazing, I met some really nice people that made me feel very welcome and of course I got to meet the band to! You can read that review here .
From this showcase Kane were invited to do a showcase back in London at the Mean Fiddler. This went off really well and I had an amazing invite from the record label to join in the afterparty which gave myself and some friends the chance to meet Kane. You can catch my review from this event here .
A few weeks after this awesome showcase I got to go back to Holland to see Kane in all their glory at a full on headline show to 12,000 people at Java Island. A concert that was so special to a lot of the Dutch fans and one that will always remain special to me. This review can be found here.
August saw Kane return to do a Top of the Pops performance and also saw their single hit #38 in the UK charts. And all that was done with very little radio and TV play, regardless of all the requesting that was going on. Unfortunately that was the last time that Kane played in UK.
I've since been to Holland many times and have seen some outstanding performances of Kane, met some amazing people and experienced occassions that I would normaly only dream of. You can find all the reviews to the concerts I've attended including my trip to Delft for the fansite day from here .
I've done my best to keep up to date over the 3 years with this website and did what I could to keep it exciting for you, from translating interviews to running competitions to sharing life time experiences but with nothing happening in Holland I do have to appoligise for the lack of information in the last 6 months. But again I've had reasons on the personal level that prevented me from being on top form with being hospitalised and ill afterwards to my Dad passing away a few months ago. But I promise you as soon as Kane are back on the road, I'll be there to!
I'll just take this oportunity to thank the people that have made a difference to my life since this site started 3 years ago because some of them have become special in my life and very good friends. I'm not going to name names as I don't want to miss anyone out!
AND finally a huge thank you to each and everyone of you that come back to my site and support it when you can. Without you then it wouldn't have become what it is today and I hope that in a few months time when Kane hit the studio it will become buzzing again and lets hope that the next album brings Kane back to UK otherwise anyone joining me for a trip to Holland?! Ha! Thank you again to you all! AND Happy 3rd Birthday Kane Rocks and A very Happy Easter to you all, hope you have a lovely time and hope the sun keeps on shinning!

So long Martijn
With great sadness it has been announced that Martijn is leaving Kane. He feels he has reached a crossroad in his life and needs to take a different path and persue a different direction. I want to wish him well and hope everything goes to plan. He will be missed greatly. Dinand & Dennis has entered their good luck wishes along with a message from Martijn on Kane.nl This is not in English yet but, Martijn reflects on many things including his trips to UK to support Maroon 5 and Top of the Pops! and Dinand & Dennis wish Martijn good luck and reflects on all the good memories they've had along the path of Kane. And that the recording for the new album still goes on.
Martijn good luck and health and may you have great success.

Startlive - HMH, Amsterdam
Kane played a gig along with another Dutch band called Di-rect last night. With thanks to Lydia again, I've now put online her amazing pictures that she is happy to share with you all. The setlist they played was: Something to say, Believe it, Before you let me go, Hold on, So glad you made it, Damn those eyes, Rain down on me, Fearless and a cover of Helter Skelter. I'm told it was a great night once again and that Kane did say that they probably won't be doing any live shows now till November. So a long wait to catch a gig but a new album will be in the making whilst we wait patiently! You can view the pictures here .

Update!
I would like to appoligise for the lack of activity on this website recently. After my operation, things got complicated and it took a lot longer to recover than I hoped and then to top it all my Dad recently passed away suddenly and so my time has been spent elsewhere, I am sure you all understand. BUT 2007 I will do all that I promised in the last newsletters I sent out on the mailing list. Watch this space as they say! I would like to thank everyone for their continued support over the last year, especially those from UK, I am sure you are all as frustrated as I am to bring Kane back to UK and lets hope 2007 will see them return upon our shores, and a thanks to the Dutch and Belgium people that keep in touch, your support has been appreciated also. 2006 saw many exciting things happen for Kane in their own country, from performing their biggest show in Den Haag to winning the best rock band TMF award, and it also saw some great personal achievements happen with Dennis getting married and Dinand becoming a Dad again recently to little Jimmi. From the latest updates on Kane.nl 2007 is looking more exciting with lots of things to look forward to including another new album. Bring it on, lets rock! . On that note I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year, and hope to see you all on the KANE road in 2007 .

Close Encounters of a different kind...
The people from high above were looking down on Kane last week. A terrible fire broke out in the building next to their studio and the bad news to start with was they were just going to let it burn down, but thankfully it didn't transfer to the studio and the only thing they suffered was the bad smell of smoke. Phew! You can read Dennis's account of the night on Kane.nl.

Firstly thank you to everyone that has sent me messages to get well soon. Thank you to Diana for liaising it all. Thanks to the Kane crew for the card. Thanks to Hugo for helping with the banner and finally a big hug and thank you to Lydia who had the idea and put the plan together in hope to cheer me up in my hospital bed! I will forever be grateful for the pictures and the cards and pressies to you all.
